The Institute of Computational Science (ICS) at the Università della Svizzera italiana announces a FOMICS/SOLARNET summer school on Solar spectropolarimetry from 9th to 14th September in Lugano, Switzerland.

The summer school is supported and organized by Instituto Ricerche Solari Locarno, Università della Svizzera Italiana, and Swiss Graduate School FOMICS - "Foundations in Mathematics and Informatics for Computer Simulations in Science and Engineering”, which is located at ICS.

Rationale

This school is intended to provide PhD students and early career researchers with competence and skills for the interpretation of spectropolarimetric observational data with the help of synthetic data from numerical simulations. More Informations can be found here: info

Accommodation will be provided and partially subsidized by the school. Part of travel costs may be supported in exceptionally cases upon request.
